School Bus Driver Charged In Crash
School bus driver Brenda Gray of Jonesborough remains in the Washington County Detention Center under a $50,000 bond. District Atty. Gen. Tony Clark filed 8 aggravated reckless assault charges and 31 counts of reckless endangerment against her in connection with the September 20th school bus crash on Mt. Wesley Road. An investigation shows the bus was traveling close to twice to posted speed limit on the narrow rural road. A public defender has been appointed for her. Statements are still being taken from some students and it appears there will be civil suits stemming from the accident. (jb)
