Suit Filed In Taser Incident
A member of the Unicoi Volunteer Fire Department has filed suit against a former Unicoi County Auxiliary Deputy Robert Scalf and former Sheriff Kent Harris. Robert Adams II was reportedly attending a fall festival at the Center on Aging and Health in Erwin when the incident occurred. The Erwin Town Police investigation showed Scalf had used a stun gun on Adams left buttock on a dare. Adams wants $300,000 punitive damage, plus $250,000 in compensatory damage. Adams wife is also seeking $50,000 due to loss of consortium.
