Community Development Block Grant To Jonesborough
With the National Storytelling Festival in full stride in downtown Jonesborough, the Washington County seat has announced that they have been awarded a half-million dollar Community Development The Block Grant as part of their $1.4 million wastewater improvement project. The town's wastewater will be discharged to the treatment plant out Little Limestone Creek into the Nolichucky River. Mayor Kelly Wolfe says planned improvements will triple the capacity of growth for the town's industrial Park planned near Telford.(CS)
