Trooper Killed In Line Of Duty A 27 year old Virginia State Trooper has been killed while directing traffic at the Virginia State Fair. Trooper Andrew Fox was from Tazewell County. Fox was wearing a traffic safety vest when he was struck. So far no charges have been filed in the incident. State Police Superintendent, Colonel Steven Flaherty calls Fox highly regarded, and his death a tremendous loss. Fox is the 58th state trooper killed in the line of duty in their 80 year history.
