Trial Date Set In Vehicular Homicide Case
A trial date has been scheduled for a Kingsport woman accused of vehicular homicide. 19 year old Victoria Arapakos was involved in a two-vehicle crash on New Beasonwell Road in July 2011. 64 year old Manuel Mark Owens of Gate City was killed. Arapakos was traveling southbound when she lost contro of her car in a curve and hit Owens' motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Arapakos will go to trial next July. (jb)
