Big Branch Mine
New Charges are expected to be filed in a two year old mine disaster. U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin gives no specifics on the pending criminal charges. He made the announcement during the meeting of a safety health foundation meeting created under a two-hundred million dollar settlement with Virginia based Alpha Natural Resources. Two former officials are currently facing charges in the April 2010 mine explosion that killed 29 men.
