The Internal Revenue Service reminds those taxpayers who filed for an extension that the deadline is Monday. The IRS reports that 170-thousand Tennesseans asked for more time to file their taxes. The agency hopes late payers will use their online electronic system. Nearly 2.3 million taxpayers in the state have already filed online which is up about 6 percent from last year. Taxpayers wanting to file electronically can go online to IRS.GOV and electronic versions of standard tax forms are available. (bg)
