CARTER CO. SHOOTING
THERE ARE FEW DETAILS ABOUT A SHOOTING IN CARTER COUNTY. WHAT STARTED AS A FOOT CHASE ON OKOLNA ROAD AFTER POLICE TRIED TO APPREHEND A MAN WITH SEVERAL OUTSTANDING WARRANTS. SHERIFF’S OFFICERS SAY THE SUSPECT BEGAN FIGHTING WITH ONE OFFICER LEADING TO ANOTHER OFFICER USING HIS FIREARM TO SHOOT THE SUSPECT. HE WAS HIT IN THE SHOULDER. BOTH THE OFFICER AND SUSPECT WERE TAKEN TO LOCAL HOSPITALS FOR TREATMENT. (CC)
