VA HIGHLAND AIRPORT EXPANSION
THE VIRGINIA HIGHLAND AIRPORT AUTHORITY VOTED TO RETAIN DELTA ASSOCIATES, AN ENGINEERING FIRM WORKING WITH THEM FOR SEVERAL YEARS TO OVERSEE A NEW RUNWAY EXPANSION. AIRPORT MANAGER MICKEY HINES SAYS MORE RUNWAY COULD MEAN MORE TRAFFIC FOR THE AIRPORT THE EXPANSION WILL TAKE SIX TO TEN YEARS FOR COMPLETION. (CC)
