Police Capture Drug Cartel Lieutenant
Damascus, Virginia police have captured a man suspected to be a high-ranking member of a Mexican drug cartel. 33 year old Jose Santillian was arrested during a routine traffic stop. Police recognized him from a 2011 drug investigation in which police seized more than one pound of marijuana, Flexeril pills, a handgun and a large knife. Santillian disappeared after he posted bond. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agents have identified him as a Lieutenant in one of the Mexican drug cartels. He remains jailed without bond. (jb)
