Mobile Home Fire Iinvestigated As Arson
The carter county sheriff says it's unusual to have a death and then a fire a few days later in the same place, so an investigation is underway now. Sheriff Chris Mathes says they responded to a call last Saturday to find the body of 50-year-old Sabrina Michelle Smith. A friend called 911 after finding her in her bed. At this point it looks like more than one fire was started and the mobile home was consumed in flames so the investigation now includes the cause of death and arson. (bg)
