Barter Needs Money
Barter Theater in Abingdon says that they need to raise 475,000 dollars before the end of the year. Ticket sales are good but that only covers about 62 percent of what it costs to operate the theater. State and federal funding has declined over the years. This leaves the theater having to rely on private donations to meet their bottom line. (jb)
