MAN JUMPS FROM ROOF
A MAN HAS BEEN TAKEN TO A LOCAL HOSPITAL AFTER JUMPING FROM THE ROOF OF THE WASHINGTON COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT BUILDING ON EAST MAPLE IN JOHNSON CITY. 39-YEAR-OLD DOUG GARLAND RAN FROM POLICE AT A TRAFFIC STOP AND CLIMBED ONTO A MULTI-LEVEL ROOF. HE SPENT AROUND TWO HOURS ON THE PEAK PORTION OF THE ROOF WHEN OFFICERS TALKED HIM ONTO A LOWER LEVEL. AFTER POLICE BROKE THROUGH AN UPPER-LEVEL WINDOW GARLAND JUMP FROM THE LOWEST END OF THE ROOF.
