FOOTBALL
A DICKENSON COUNTY, VIRGINIA HIGH SCHOOL IS TRYING TO REPEAT A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. CLINTWOOD HIGH SCHOOL LEAVES A LEGACY AS THE FINAL CHAMPS OF THE LONESOME PINE DISTRICT. SCHOOL CONSOLDATION AND REDISTRICTING LEFT ONLY FOUR TEAMS IN THE DISTRICT THIS YEAR CAUSING THE VIRGINIA HIGH SCHOOL LEAGUE TO DISSOLVE IT. CLINTWOOD WILL FACE THE OTHER COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL HAYSI TO ADVANCE IN THE BID FOR A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP, THIS COULD BE ONE OF THE LAST ENCOUNTERS FOR THE TWO TEAMS, PLANS ARE IN PLACE FOR A CONSOLIDATED COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL CALLED RIDGEVIEW WHERE THE TWO TEAMS WOULD BECOME THE WOLF PACK.
