Poor Richard's Closed
AN ETSU CAMPUS HANGOUT IS NO MORE. A SIGN ON THE DOOR OF POOR RICHARDíS CAMPUS SAYS IT IS NOW FOR LEASE. THE BUSINESS HAD BEEN IN OPERATION SINCE 1976. STUUDENT, FACULTY AND STAFF COULD USUALLY BE FOUND THERE DURING LUNCH HOURS ENJOYING THE FAMED MAXINEíS SWEET TEA. IT WAS ALSO A POPULAR NIGHT SPOT FOR THOSE OF LEGAL AGE SEVERAL NIGHTS DURING THE WEEK AND WEEKEND. THERE IS NO WORD YET FROM THE OWNERS OF POOR RICHARDíS ABOUT WHY THEY SHUT THEIR DOOR. CURRENTLY THE NEWS IS SPREADING ACROSS SOCIAL MEDIA WITH SEVERAL ALUNMI RELIVING OLD MEMORIES AND FAVORITE STORIES ABOUT THE ESTABLISHMENT. (CC)
