Operation Street Sweeper
Carter County deputies have arrested over 18 people on methamphetamine charges in a mass roundup that began just before midnight Wednesday. It was part of Operation Street Sweeper. A total of 30 suspects were indicted by a Carter County grand jury. Officers discovered three clandestine meth labs and cleaned them up. Sheriff Chris Mathes and his department are working with other law enforcement agencies to make the remaining arrests. (jb)
