UT Hire
IT HAS BEEN THREE LONG WEEKS FOR FANS OF UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE FOOTBALL. WITH THE FIRING OF DEREK DOOLEY IN EARLY NOVEMBER THE UNIVERSITY WAS ON THE HUNT FOR A NEW HEAD COACH. IT TOOK WAY LONGER THAN EXPECTED AND THREE COACHES TURNED DOWN THE JOB BEFORE BUTCH JONES ACCEPTED THE JOB. JONES MET WITH HIS CURRENT TEAM THE CINCINNATI BEARCATS EARLY FRIDAY BEFORE UT MADE THE AFTERNOON ANNOUNCEMENT OF JONES HIRE. JONES HAS SPENT THREE YEARS AT EACH OF HIS LAST TWO COACHING JOBS, THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME DEREK DOOLEY WAS AT TENNESSEE. (cc)
