TDOT Will Host Public Hearings Concerning Memorial Blvd
The Tennessee Department of Transportation will host Tuesday hearings on the possible improvements to State Route 126, that’s Memorial Boulevard between Center Street and Interstate 81. The first public hearing is scheduled for 11:30 am at the Kingsport Civic Auditorium and the second hearing should start around 6pm in the Sullivan Central High School gym in Blountville. They want to reduce the impact to the community and environment and respond to comments from citizens concerning the Environmental Impact Statement draft. The scheduled public hearings are to provide time for the public to review and respond to proposed modifications while allowing ample time to rework the design of the project if necessary. (bg)
