TN Legislature Gets Raise
SOME EXTRA MONEY IS GOING INTO THE POCKETS OF TENNSSEE STATE LEGISTATORS. THE GROUP OF LAWMAKERS RECEIVED AN AUTOMATIC PAY RAISE IN EARLY NOVEMBER. THE RAISE IS JUST OVER SIX PERCENT AND LASTS UNTIL THE END OF THE LEGISLATIVE SESSION IN 2014. LAWMAKERS NOW MAKE JUST OVER TWENTY-THOUSAND DOLLARS PER YEAR, WITH SPEAKERS OF BOTH THE HOUSE AND SENATE MAKING THREE TIMES THE PAY. LAWMAKERS ALSO GET A THOUSAND DOLLAR A MONTH HOME OFFICE ALLOWANCE, AND JUST OVER ONE-HUNDRED-FIFTY DOLLARS ALLOWANCE FOR EACH DAY THEY ARE IN SESSION. THE ALSO RECEIVE MILAGE. .
