An Elizabethton woman has been charged with stealing merchandise from Mahoney’s Outfitters in Johnson City. 42-year old Willie Jo Witson was caught when she tried to return the stolen merchandise for a monetary refund. Whitson is charged with False Report and Possession of Stolen Property under $500. She’ll be in Washington County General Sessions Court for arraignment this afternoon.
