Most area government offices will be closed tomorrow for New Year's Day. Garbage pickup and mass transit will shut down in most areas. Scott County, Virginia, Washington County, Tennessee along with Wise County, Virginia, Norton, Coeburn, Appalachia, Lee County and Jonesville offices will be closed both today and tomorrow. (jb)
