THP Crackdown Continues Through Midnight
Local and state law enforcement agencies will be cracking down on drunk drivers over the New Year's Holiday. The Tennessee Highway patrol will be conducting several sobriety and driver's license checkpoints through midnight tonight. They plan on strictly enforcing the state's new no refusal law. The law allows law enforcement officers with probable cause to get a judge's order to take a blood sample. (jb)
