New Year's Day Fire
Volunteer firefighters were busy early New Year's Day morning at a house fire at a Hoot Owl Hollow Road residence off Rudy Branch Road in the eastern portion of Sullivan County. That alarm was first sounded at 2:40 AM for Hickory Tree and 421 Emergency District Units. The cause the fire is still under investigation. (cs)
