Wallet Found Near Skeletal Remains
A T-DOT survey crew discovered skeletal remains along Gap Creek Road in Carter County Wednesday. Sheriff Chris Mathes has called in the TBI to collect forensic evidence. The sheriff says that a wallet found near the remains are those of a man who has been missing for about three months. It will take about a week before a positive identification can be made. The remains have been sent to U.T. Knoxville. (jb)
