An 1,800-acre-plus industrial development site near the intersection of Interstate 40 and Interstate 81 could get megasite status. That's what the Jefferson County Economic Development Oversight Committee is hoping to get. Officials say the site would be designed to attract an automotive manufacturer and associated suppliers.
