Kitzmiller Said He Blacked Out & Remembered Nothing Else
Charges against a man arrested after a gunfight with a Tennessee state trooper have been bound over to a grand jury. AP reports charges against 20-year-old Derrick Dakota Kitzmiller were dropped. His case was sent to a Washington County grand jury on a number of violations that include attempted second-degree murder and being a felon with a handgun. The gunfire came after a high-speed chase and shootout early January 3rd. The trooper testified to a popping sound coming from Kitzmiller's car after it wrecked and realized it was gunfire. Kitzmiller was pinned down until backup arrived and said he blacked out right after the crash and remembered nothing else. (bg)
