Bomb Scare in Kingsport Ruled a Hoax
Employees of the Kingsport Justice Center return to work this morning hoping for a normal day after yesterday’s bomb threat. Around 3:00 yesterday afternoon, the Justice Center was evacuated and police conducted a sweep of the building with a bomb-sniffing dog. Officers did not find anything suspicious and allowed personnel to reenter the building less than an hour later. Detectives are still investigating the incident and if arrested, the suspect would face false reporting which is a felony charge. The Justice Center is the home of Kingsport’s Police Department as well as city courts.
