Education Reform Package Has Cleared Two Hurdles
A major component of Gov. Bob McDonnell's education reform package has cleared two legislative hurdles. The package would allow local school boards to expand teacher probationary periods from three years to five, require annual evaluations and allow teachers or principals to be fired after one bad appraisal.
