Kingsport Woman Charged With Child Abuse
A Kingsport woman has been arrested for allegedly striking her six year old daughter. 28 year old Eva Ledford is said to have caused a puncture wound to the girl's mouth which penetrated to the inside. The child had to be taken to the emergency room to have stitches. The Department of Children's Services was called in and removed the six year old girl and an 8 month old child. Ledford is being held without bond pending a hearing today. (jb)
