Police Catch Woman Shooting Up In Restaurant
Rogersville police caught a woman shooting up drugs in the bathroom of a restaurant. 23 year old Brittany Smith and a friend were at the Taco Bell on Route 66 when she needed a fix. Restaurant employees smelled smoke and police were called. They found Smith trying to shoot up Opana E-R. It's an oral combination of oxycodone and morphine and not intended to be injected. Police say that the abuse of Opana is an epidemic in Hawkins County, and injecting it can cause serious medical problems and even death. Smith admitted to police that she didn't have a prescription for the drug. (jb)
