Kingsport Police Traffic Unit is investigating an early morning traffic fatality. It happened this morning around 5:00 o'clock at Bloomingdale Pike and Bloomingdale Road A woman was driving westbound on Bloomingdale Pike when she failed to negotiate a curve. The Mazda 6 left the road, struck a power pole and a concrete culvert. Police say that the woman was not wearing a seatbelt. Her name is not being released pending notification of family members. (jb)
