Former Business Owner Pleads Guilty To Tax Evasion
A former Jonesborough business owner has admitted to failing to pay taxes for his employees and himself. Jimmy Holland Boyd owned Spring City Excavating and lived in the area until 2007. He admitted to not filing and paying taxes from 2005 until 2007 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern Division. He faces six years in prison and a fine of 350 thousand dollars. (jb)
