Dead Man Found Under Vehicle By Kingsport Officers
Officers with the Kingsport City Police Department found a dead man in a parking lot at Stone Drive. The man was trapped under a vehicle and pronounced dead on scene. The investigation revealed the victim was the owner of the vehicle and was having problems with the emergency brakes and had to get under the vehicle to manually release the brake. The parking lot was on a downhill grade and when the brake was released the vehicle rolled and pinned him underneath. The name of the victim is being withheld pending family notification and is still an ongoing investigation to the Kingsport Police Departmentís Traffic Unit. (bg)
