Erwin Murder, Suicide
Erwin police say a local man killed his wife and two children, and then turned the gun on himself. The call came in around 2am Saturday morning from a person who claimed to be wounded. The four people who lived in the home at 750 Carolina Avenue in Erwin were all found shot to death. The apartment was in the Town Acres Development, a part of the Erwin Housing Authority. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is assiting Erwin Police in the investigation. Police believe the murder suicide was a domestic issue. (jb)
