DA Reviewing Mayor's Case Against Town
It appears that mediation has failed in the most recent civil suit filed against Bluff City by Mayor Irene Wells. She alleged that the Board of Mayor and Aldermen violated the town charter when they appointed Judy Dulaney as City Manager. Wells wanted a restraining order placed to keep Dulaney from firing employees without consulting her or the board. A judge ordered mediation. Sullivan County Attorney General Barry Staubus is reviewing the case. (jb)
