THA report
Mountain States Health Alliance and Wellmont Health systems held a rare joint press conference to speak about a study just released by the Tennessee Hospital Association. That study predicts that the impact from Medicare cuts to Tennessee Hospitals could have a 13.3 billion dollar impact on the region's economy of a ten year period. Both organizations are urging the state to accept federal funds offered...Marvin Eichorn is the Chief Financial Officer for Mountain States Health Alliance... both Wellmont and Mountain States say that the region could see a loss of 500-million of the decade.
