No Greenbeld Robbery
Kingsport police say a couple that claimed they were robbed while on the greenbelt this weekend lied. Police report that Shawn Fletcher is facing charges of filling a false police report and of simple domestic assault. Fletcher admitted to fighting with and then hitting his girlfriend in the eye while they were walking along the greenbelt. He then threatened the girlfriend to go along with a story about being robbed so she could get treatment at a local hospital and he would not get in trouble for hitting her. Police say Fletcher did admit to these charges. (CC)
