Police Release ID Of Shot Burglar
Johnson City police have identified the man shot by a homeowner in the middle of a burglary. 27 year old Lam Duc Hoang of Lafollette was caught by the homeowner. He had gotten into the house by a back window. The resident heard him rummaging through things in a bedroom. The man reached inside his jacket pocket as if reaching for a weapon when the homeowner shot him in the leg. Hoang was taken to the hospital for observation. He was charged upon his release and taken to the Washington County Detention Center. (jb)
