The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two business burglaries that could be connected. Someone broke into the Village Market on Hwy 75 Sunday morning by shattering the front door. The thief took cigarettes and a small amount of cash. Early Monday morning, a similar incident at the Boone Store on Hwy 75. Cigarettes as well as lottery tickets were stolen from the store. Again, the thief broke through the front door of the business. The Sheriff’s Office asks for tips to help solve the burglaries. (sh)
