Gate City Drug Bust
A Gate City K-9 officer sniffed out some drugs during a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 23. 29 year old Christopher Farmer was a passenger in the car. Officers discovered a backpack in the back seat of the vehicle which had just over 11 ounces of pot, scales and materials needed to start growing the drug. Farmer admitted to police that the drugs were his, and that he had bought the marijuana in the parking lot of the Fort Henry Mall in Kingsport. Farmer is a three time convicted felon and is currently on probation. (jb)
