Prisoner has drugs
A Carter County inmate is facing more charges after an officer finds him with quarantined drugs. 27-year-old Jeffery Roger Hammonds was found in possession of the muscle relaxant cyclobenzaprine pills, almost twenty dollars cash, and tobacco he was not supposed to be able to possess. An inspection of the area also found a lighter and several other types of pills. Hammonds is charged with the possession of a schedule four drug for resale and two counts possession of a legend drug. He has a hearing to answer to these new charges on February 19th. (CC)
