Sign Controversy
A controversy is brewing in Kingsport over a huge sign advertising gas prices on Fort Henry Drive. The Murphy Express is located beside Walmart. Several residents have complained to Mayor Dennis Phillips about the sign. He has contacted officials with Murphy Oil and a representative of the company is coming to town next week to personally inspect the sign. Mayor Phillips says that he doesn't expect the city to make any changes to current sign ordinances. (jb)
