Police investigators have arrested a Johnson City woman and charged her with Forgery, Identity Theft and Theft of Property. Julia Bittinger is accused of passing stolen checks at the Food City on South Roan Street and State of Franklin Road. The store's video surveillance cameras recorded the transactions and helped in identifying Bittinger. She will be arraigned in Sessions Court today. (jb)
