Spring fire season has officially kicked off. It's this time of year that grass and leafs are very dry. That and windy conditions make the risk of fires very high. Fire season in Tennessee and Virginia run through the end of May. Check your local regulations to see if a burn permit is required. It's against the law to burn brush before 4:00 pm in Virginia. (jb)
