RVILLE Liquor permits
Business owners in Rogersville have just over one week to wait before they are able to file applications for liquor store permits. The number of stores in the city will be limited to two…that is one of several ordinances the board of mayor and alderman voted in favor of during their last meeting. Depot street will be a median point and one store will be east and the other west of that point. Another ordinance creates a local alcohol governing board to oversee beer and liquor licenses. The deadline for the applications is March 15th. City officials say if an even number of qualified applicants apply for the permits then the recipients will be chosen by random drawing at the next board meeting. (CC)
