Murder Suspect Set Free
A Bristol, Virginia man has been set free after being held in jail for over a year and a half in a murder case. Anthony Jemes Junior was alleged to have been one of two men who beat, strangled and robbed 86 year old Annie Smith at her apartment in Springdale Village. The Commonwealth's star witness, Daniel Henry, who pleaded guilty in the murder and is currently in prison recanted his story that implicated Jemes. Annie Smith was found July 10th, 2011 after her minister couldn't get her to come to the door. (jb)
