Ground Broken For New Animal Shelter
Ground has been broken for a new animal shelter in Carter County. It's expected to take about 120 days for construction to be completed. Funding for the half million dollar project came from the Carter County Commission and the Elizabethton City Council. Animal Shelter supporters raised more than 100 thousand dollars. (jb)
