Motorist Threatens Public Works Crew
A Kingsport motorist has been arrested after allegedly threatening a public works crew. 47 year old Thomas Willis of Stapleton Drive thought workers with a backhoe were blocking the roadway. He’s alleged to have threatened to bust their heads with a tire tool. When approached by police Willis is said to have told them they would have to kill him to take him back to jail. He was taken into custody without incident and booked into the county jail. (jb)
