Hawkins County police arrested a Johnson City man after a high speed chase. 24 year old David Schreck was arrested after the engine in his car failed. He was traveling east on Highway 11-W with a broken headlight. Police tried to stop him, but he accelerated and led them on the chase. A search of his vehicle uncovered a backpack that contained marijuana, scales and a drug ledger. (jb)
