A Hawkins County volunteer firefighter died Monday morning after responding to two separate fires late Sunday. 43 year old David Schnepp worked a brush fire and then stayed at the Carters Valley Fire Hall as back up on another fire. He left to go home around 12:30 Monday morning. Around 7:00 o'clock his wife called 911 for help. He died later in the day. His body has been sent to the Quillen College of Medicine for an autopsy.
